Completed late spring 2014, the approx. 1000 sq. ft. barn-like oversized garage was transformed into a light filled artist studio by capturing the underutilized space.
The essence of the studio design was centered on light, view and lofty space. The composition of aluminum storefront windows was incorporated into the north facing façade to capture and maximize the natural light and spectacular panorama view of the valley. The window wall plane was purposely recessed and framed by the boxy heavy trim work to accentuate the basic frame work and the 3-dimensionality of the building structure.
