Agape Conference Center at Holmes Presbyterian Camp and Conference Center  – Holmes, NY - In Construction 

Holmes Presbyterian Camp and Conference Center is nested on a 550-acre site, set amongst the pristine forests and lakes in the hill country of Putnam County of the lower Hudson River Valley. The location provides a beautiful view of the area and spectacular changes of seasons. Three lakes provide the natural resource for swimming and boating activities, as well as winter fishing and ice skating.

Sloan Architects’ design of the new Agape Conference Center successfully situated the building into the existing landscape to capture the picturesque panoramic vista, as well as, enabling the building to have the means to expand in the future. Taking advantage of the hilly terrain, the 2-story structure is built into the hillside to create the illusion of a single story at the front façade that blends seamlessly with the existing surrounding structures. The Center includes 10 guest rooms, a spacious lounge and a conference room. The building design is made up of guest rooms “pod” that allows for expansion with one or more “pods” in the future without compromising the functionality or aesthetics of the building.
