Set in the picturesque landscape of the Hudson Valley, this 5,000 sf Horse Barn was in need of a renovation.  Improvements were required not only for function and aesthetics, but the owners also elected to install solar panels to offset their power usage.  It was our task to locate them in the most efficient and inconspicuous manner possible, while blending them into the equestrian context of the property.
 
To address function and new programming needs, a more efficient barn layout along with a new spacious barn-manager apartment were created and incorporated into the existing footprint of the barn.  New solar panels were strategically placed optimizing the site conditions, and design to blend seamlessly with the new roof structure.  Additionally the exterior facades received a much needed upgrade to stand proudly along side the adjacent property structures.
