Victorian Farmhouse - Salt Point, NY

With the completion of the 1300 sf. addition and renovation, a vast amount of drama, beauty, and coherence were added to this 1800’s victorian farmhouse, located in Dutchess County, New York.  The interior was enhanced with a new all seasons sunroom, expanded kitchen and an additional guest bedroom and bath to accommodate large family gatherings.

Magnificent wrap-around porches and patios were incorporated into the design, with a covered pergola placed strategically to balance the new addition.  To continue the language of the existing front porch, a new porch was designed to wrap around the dining room side of the house, extended and transformed into a private deck off the newly enlarged master bedroom and terminated with a dramatic staircase spilling out onto the rolling lawn.  A new pool house completed the transformation, functioning as an outdoor kitchen and a mask for the pool equipment.
