Willowglen

In the winter of 2007, Natasha Richardson and Liam Neeson retained Sloan Architects to dramatically transform the interior of their antique barn. We worked closely with Natasha in the planning and design phases to ensure that her program needs were met. The result was an oasis of entertainment for the Neeson’s, in which to relax and enjoy time with friends and family.

Construction was completed in autumn of 2008 with a renovation that included a media room equipped with state of the art audio visual equipment for private movie screenings, a recreation room for the children with arcade games, and a well equipped fitness room.  All audio visual equipment was strategically incorporated into the design, to not detract from the rustic feel of the barn.  The design and materials used in this project clearly reflect the owner’s desire to maintain the charm and integrity of the barn while creating a sense of playfulness.
