Wilton Center: Bright Horizons - Wilton, CT

This +/- 8,800 square foot community based childcare center is located in a quaint, suburban neighborhood in the town of Wilton, Connecticut.  Designed to accommodate 116 children, the program consists of infant, toddlers, preschooler, and school age classrooms, as well as extended hour care, educational and enrichment programs, and family education and support services.

The majority of the classrooms are situated along a corridor which wraps around the activity core of the building.  The activity core is made up of the activity/ staff kitchen, where children and staff partake in baking and craft activities, as well as a cozy platform with a view of the aquarium, and an open area for general activities.  Each classroom not only has views of the great outdoors, but most are also visually connected to adjoining classrooms by means of child height interior windows, which promotes interaction among the children.   An outdoor playground accompanies the center, densely filled with age appropriate equipment, and strategically arranged to  accommodate activities such as tricycle paths, sand and water play.
