At the crest of Chestnut Ridge Road, in Millbrook, New York, a gentleman’s farm was given the new centerpiece of a classical estate farmhouse in the neoclassical style.

A gracious allee of trees and fieldstone walls flank the approach to the home, where the central structure is extended by the symmetry of balanced wings. Extensive brick and stone terraces are tucked into the contours of the house, providing both privacy and outdoor living.

Great attention was given to the proportion of the exterior millwork, with mouldings, fascia, scotia, corner boards, and pediments detailed precisely. Copper gutters and downspouts give elegance to the home by adding clean lines to each elevation.
